Things to know.

Your first tattoo. Where do you start?

The most important thing here is not to rush. Step 1: Decide on an idea and style. The internet can help you with this (Google, Instagram, Pinterest, or TikTok). The more examples you look at, the better you’ll be able to articulate your request. Step 2: Choose the location and size. You might want to consider a few placement options. Step 3: Book a free consultation with the artist.

What is the purpose of a free consultation?

A consultation is necessary to meet you in person, discuss tattoo ideas, and make any necessary adjustments. It also helps determine the size and placement of the tattoo and, of course, allows us to answer any questions you may have.

How do you choose a specialist?

Leave this decision to us. Send examples of the work you’re interested in to our Instagram [insert link here], and our studio administrators will book you an appointment with the right specialist. Vostok Tattoo is the only tattoo studio in Minsk that brings together artists representing every style and genre.

Do I need to prepare for a tattoo session?

Absolutely. Your comfort throughout the session depends directly on this. The rules are simple: - get a good night's sleep; - have a hearty meal; - take a shower; - wear comfortable clothing (you might want to bring a change of clothes); - bring a good book or a movie (and headphones); - ensure there are no contraindications. (Read "What are the contraindications?") You MUST AVOID the following for 24 hours beforehand: - alcohol and narcotics; - physical exertion; - vasodilators. On the day of the session, avoid coffee and caffeinated beverages!
